GivingTuesday is a global celebration held annually the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage giving, celebrate generosity, and support organizations like Montgomery Creek Ranch.
Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. Over $400 million was raised online in 2018 to benefit a tremendously broad range of organizations, and much more was given in volunteer hours. We encourage you to support the causes you believe in this December 3rd.
In preparation for this holiday, we wanted to give you two tangible ways a contribution to MCR is utilized.
Support of Our ‘Big Herd’
Your donation helps to support the care of over 200 mustangs and burros that roam free on our 2,000-acre sanctuary. Donations go towards supplemental feed, veterinary care when needed, vaccines, farrier care, and rescue.
Support of Our Adoption Program
We invest a lot in our horses. Beyond adopting and caring for wild horses, we dedicate significant time and energy to training suitable horses so that they can be adopted. Many hours and thousands of dollars go into each horse before we make them available for adoption. It’s a labor of love and we couldn’t be more proud when one of our horses is adopted into their forever home. Thanks to your support, we’re giving these horses their best chance to be safe and have value.
